Entry to New Zealand is controlled by a government agency called Immigration New Zealand. Decisions are made under the authority of an Act of Parliament and its multiple amendments and subsequent Regulations; published policy and amendments; and in accord with various Internal Amendment Circulars and Ministerial directives.
While the process is, technically, transparent; working out your own eligibility in any particular case can be confusing, especially if you are relying on general descriptions of policy; intended to be helpful but lacking or glossing over the detail. Words can sometimes have meanings, in Immigration policy, that are different to your common understanding.

There are two steps to the Assessment process; an automated preliminary filter which will give you instant guidance, online; followed, where appropriate, with a detailed questionnaire that will be personally considered and assessed by skilled case managers in our offices in New Zealand.
